Baxter Hogue

Baxter H. Hogue, LPC-S

Founder & Clinical Director
Baxter has over 18 years working with young people in various settings. He founded Imagine in 2008 to treat young adults struggling to transition into adulthood. He has worked primarily in outpatient settings with individuals and families. He has extensive experience working with young people with addictive disorders as well as mood disorders. In addition to general counseling with individuals and families Baxter has a particular interest in working with individuals struggling to find meaning in their lives. Baxter is a licensed professional counselor.

He is an avid reader, a bit of an armchair historian and an outdoor enthusiast. He is married and has three children.

Caroline Brooks, LCSW

Caroline Brooks, LCSW

Caroline is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has a Master’s of Social Work Degree from the University of Alabama, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from Mississippi State University. 

Caroline has experience providing case management services to adults and families in the hospital setting, as well as group therapy services to inpatient psychiatric patients. She primarily focuses on providing counseling services to adolescent females and young adult female patients.

Caroline enjoys helping others through using a strength based approach and integrating various treatment therapies. She empowers clients and provides emotional support and guidance through individual therapy. 

She enjoys spending her free time with her husband, daughter, and 2 dogs. 

 

Amy Arnot LCSW

Amy has over 30 years of experience as an LCSW working both inpatient & outpatient in many different areas such as sexual abuse, domestic violence, grief, anxiety, depression, & women’s issues. She has her Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education from The University of South Florida & her Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Maryland. She sees children as well as adults and provides individual, family & marital counseling. Amy’s goal is to help others look at past mistakes & learn from them instead of feeling guilt & shame.

Sagar Patel, M.D.

Medical Director
Dr. Patel graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Mississippi, where he also attended and completed medical school. He completed his internship and residency training at Medical University of South Carolina in Internal Medicine and Psychiatry. His fellowship in Sleep disorders was completed at the University of Mississippi. He is currently Board Certified in Psychiatry, Internal Medicine, and Sleep disorders.

Byron Galloway

Staff Therapist
Byron has 30 years experience in providing therapy services. His extensive work with both inpatient and outpatient populations has afforded him much opportunity to develop his skills as a clinician. Although experienced in counseling a broad spectrum of issues, Byron has particular interest in and competency with working with those struggling with marital and family crisis, toxic shame, severe emotional difficulties ( i.e. depression or anxiety disorders) and men’s issues.

Andy Johnston, MS

Intake Coordinator

Andy possesses a Bachelor’s in Psychology from The University of Mississippi, along with a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Mississippi State University. Andy has experience in both residential and outpatient facilities. As Intake Coordinator, he conducts initial assessments, and also provides group and individual therapy services. Andy is passionate about working with individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, intimacy, grief, and shame. Andy utilizes a Person-centered approach, and believes meeting clients exactly where they are in their journey is essential to establishing safety and trust.

Outside of work, Andy can be found in the woods, spending time with loved ones, or wherever there’s live music.

Chris Wimberley, LMFT

Staff Therapist
Chris is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with 27 years of experience. He believes that relationships are the most important investment we make. Whether personal or business relationships, Chris’ unique approach has helped thousands of relationships move toward their desired goals. His diverse experiences give him valuable insight that contributes to his success as a therapist, coach and presenter internationally. Chris has been married for 26 years and has two children.

Jennifer Simmons, MSN

Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
Jennifer Simmons, MSN, is an advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) and board-certified psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP-BC) who assesses and treats adults and adolescents with depression, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, psychotic disorders, and personality disorders. Jennifer completed her Bachelors and Masters of Science degrees in nursing at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. She has experience in both inpatient and outpatient care. Jennifer lives in Brandon, MS with her family and spends most weekends at the ball field watching her son play baseball.

Nicki Harvey, MSN

Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
Nicki received her MSN from UMMC, and is a board certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. In 2006 Nicki began working in community mental health and developed a passion for helping special needs children. She knew God was leading her to a career in the mental health field. She has experience in treating individuals across the lifespan. She has treated children as young as four to geriatric patients. Nicki and her husband, Will, live in Rankin County with their four children. They have two dogs and a horse named Leroy Brown. They spend most of their time at the barn and the ballpark. Nicki and her family love all things outdoor; they spend any free time camping or fishing.

John J. Luther, LCSW

Staff Therapist
John holds a Bachelors in Social Work from Mississippi College and a Masters in Social Work from University of Alabama. He is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker board certified with the state of Mississippi. John has previously worked in inpatient psychiatry, hospice, and in critical care settings. John does lots of groups. He believes in using mindfulness strategies to help others be more present, less anxious, and more accepting of life’s challenges while still finding joy.
